About NSW Game Hunting Licences

Once you’ve received your WIT number, you can apply for a NSW Game Hunting Licence or ‘update’ your current game hunting licence for native game bird hunting.

Existing licence holders
If you already hold a NSW General or Restricted Game Hunting Licence, you need to update your NSW Game Hunting Licence with your WIT number so you can participate in the Native Game Bird Management Program. There is no fee to update your licence for native game bird hunting.

Contact DPI Hunting on 02 6363 7650 or hunting@dpi.nsw.gov.au to find out how to have your WIT number added to your licence.

New licence applicants
You can apply for either a NSW General or Restricted Game Hunting Licence to qualify for the Native Game Bird Management Program. See our website for more information on how to apply www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/hunting/hunting-licences

Note: You will need to provide a copy of your WIT as a supporting document in your licence application to be endorsed for the NSW Native Game Bird Management Program.
